Why Use an Expert Claims Preparer?
While an insurer may appoint a Loss Adjuster to review and assess a claim after it’s been lodged. They don’t prepare or present the claim on your behalf. That responsibility sits with the policyholder.
We think that those appointed Loss Adjusters will be pleased to have our assistance to estabish the exact value of the loss as they are often time poor and can have huge work loadss, especially following a widespread weather event
How your claim is prepared and presented can make a big difference to the outcome.
In some instances, it may involve investigating and documenting losses with photos, videos and written evidence. It can also involve gathering documentation such as receipts, invoices, medical bills, government reports and other evidence of losses being claimed.

How Claim Preparation Is Charged
We usually charge on an hourly rate, depending on:
-Claim size and complexity
-Location and other factors
Our costs compare favourably with accountants and other specialist claim preparers.
We may also offer:
Fixed fees
Claim preparation services are one-off engagements. The client is responsible for payment, though recoverable costs may be claimed under your policy particularly Business Packs and Industrial Special Risks policies.
Who Gets Invoiced?
Invoices are issued to the client as per the agreed terms of engagement.
However we will not invoice until the claim is being presented in full to your insurer and at which time our payment is expected with in 30 days of receiving the insurers reimbursement of our costs.
What If the Insurer Doesn’t Cover the Full Cost?
If the insurer doesn’t cover all costs under the claim preparation clause, the client pays the balance. However we will never incur costs for the claimant or the Broker that are not able to be claimed under the insurers claim costs without prior agreement.
Keep in mind:
- Advocacy and negotiation costs are generally not recoverable by your policy.
- Claim preparation is subject to policy limits
